Wacker Biotech is the expert biologics CDMO partner for process development and manufacturing of advanced therapies and vaccines, as well as live microbial products and recombinant proteins based on microbial systems. Our nucleic acid-based capabilities span the full manufacturing value chain, from the production of plasmid DNA through the IVT of xRNA to lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation. We have the capability to produce at diverse scales up to 1500 L, serving clients from start-ups to big pharma across the whole drug development lifecycle - from R&D material and feasibility studies, to pre-clinical and IND tox material supply, to clinical and commercial GMP production. We operate state-of-the-art cGMP production facilities in the US (San Diego), Germany (Halle and Jena) and The Netherlands (Amsterdam). Complementing our bioprocess development and manufacturing experts at these sites is a team of dedicated research scientists leading continuous technology innovations and collaborations at our parent company’s R&D hub in Munich, Germany. At this Biotechnology Center, we are also offering contract research services for nucleic acid-based therapeutics development.
