Phacilitate’s Advanced Therapies Week Postponed Until June 2021

28 September 2020

The global cell and gene therapy community will now unite in june 2021.

Advanced Therapies Week is about uniting the cell and gene therapy community. Despite Phacilitate’s enthusiasm and wholehearted commitment, we’ve had to take the very difficult decision to postpone Advanced Therapies Week, which was due to take place this January. It will now be held at Miami Beach Convention Center on 8-11 June 2021.

The 2020 meeting was among the last in-person cell and gene therapy events of the year and our hope was to be the first live event for the advanced therapies community. As the global response to COVID-19 continues to evolve, it is clear that we cannot be certain of delivering the quality that Phacilitate customers expect as early as January.

Advanced Therapies Week will be hosted on 8th – 11th June 2021, and our team have spent the last several months reimagining your show. The first edition of Advanced Therapies Week at the newly renovated Miami Beach Convention Center presents many opportunities to execute a high-quality event to support biotech on their commercialisation journey.

The Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau and The Miami Beach Convention Center have implemented extensive measures to make events safe and hassle free.

Here are some of the things we’ve put in place for June.

– The Miami Beach Convention Center will be able to operate at 50% capacity. We have been allocated extra indoor and outdoor space to allow for social distancing measures whilst maintaining similar delegate numbers to 2020

– The Convention Center is proud to announce its recent achievement of the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ Facility Accreditation

– MIA is the second airport in the U.S. to be accredited under the International Airport Health Accreditation program

Finally, we would like to say a huge thank you to our members, sponsors and the advanced therapies community that has supported us over the last few months. We look forward to welcoming you to Advanced Therapies Week in June.
