Dr. Antonio (“Tony”) Lee serves as Global President and Board Director of MEDIPOST. He is also Co-CEO of MEDIPOST Inc. (U.S.) and CEO of MEDIPOST K.K. (Japan), where he leads the company’s global business, clinical development, and commercialization strategy. 

Dr. Lee received his BSc (Hons) and MSc in Human Anatomy & Structural Biology and his PhD in Developmental Biology from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He subsequently held research positions at the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales in Australia, focusing on translational and regenerative medicine utilizing adult muscle stem cell engineering technologies. 

Since joining MEDIPOST in 2011, Dr. Lee has led the global clinical development and commercialization of human umbilical cord blood-derived mesenchymal stem/stromal cell (hUCB-MSC) technologies and therapeutics, including CARTISTEM®, the world’s first regulatory-approved allogeneic MSC therapy for knee osteoarthritis. He has overseen late-stage clinical programs in Japan and the United States, as well as multinational CMC, commercial manufacturing, and market access strategies. Since its launch in South Korea in 2012, CARTISTEM® has treated more than 36,000 patients, demonstrating sustained clinical impact and real-world evidence
