Chris Wegener is Director of R&D at Fresenius Kabi, leading the Cell & Gene Therapy Technologies group. For over 16 years, he has guided the development of functionally-closed automated cell processing systems, most notably the Lovo and Cue platforms, to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability in CGT manufacturing. His team develops automation for critical workflow steps across the CGT manufacturing workflow with a focus on process reliability at scale. Chris contributes regularly to industry forums and consortia and holds an MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
