Gregory Whitehead is Executive Vice President and Chief Technical and Quality Officer at Editas Medicine where he leads Technical Operations, Process and Analytical Development, Information Technology, and Quality, supporting the advancement of Editas Medicine’s gene editing therapies.

Greg brings more than 25 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, with deep expertise in cell and gene therapy clinical and commercial development. Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Vice President of Quality at Editas Medicine, Chief Quality Officer at Rubius Therapeutics, Vice President of Quality at bluebird bio, and held roles of increasing responsibility at Dendreon.

Throughout his career, Greg has guided multiple complex cell and gene therapy programs from early research through clinical development and successful commercial launches. He is recognized for building strong, patient focused organizations grounded in a clear vision and mission centered on patient safety, compliance, and data integrity.
