Ilya Yasny is a Partner and Head of Scientific Research at LanceBio Ventures. Before LanceBio, Dr. Yasny was managing several biopharma funds mainly focused on advanced therapies where he was responsible for scientific due diligence and decision making across 50+ investments resulting in 7 M&As and 7 IPOs.

Before that, Dr. Yasny worked as a Senior scientist in biopharma R&D, scouting for projects and managing pharmaceutical R&D. Prior to that he worked as a scientist in the computer-based drug design startup Algodign founded by Michael Levitt, a 2013 Nobel Laureate.

Dr. Yasny holds a PhD degree in enzymology and protein engineering. He is a co-author of 8 peer-reviewed publications, author of multiple news articles and educational reviews.
