Ivo de Maddalena is a life sciences partnerships and investment executive and co-founder of AxisBio Partners. He focuses on building and executing life science platforms, partnerships, and investment initiatives across the Middle East and Europe. With more than 15 years of experience spanning biotechnology R&D, corporate strategy, M&A advisory, and international business development, he works at the intersection of science, capital, and industrial development to translate emerging innovations into scalable life science businesses. 

Prior to founding AxisBio Partners, Ivo led Global Industrial Partnerships for NEOM Biotech, where he helped shape the development of a next-generation life sciences ecosystem in Saudi Arabia, building international collaborations to accelerate advanced therapeutics, biologics manufacturing, and R&D capabilities. Earlier in his career, he worked in Strategy & Transactions at EY-Parthenon in Switzerland, advising private equity funds and multinational companies on M&A, operational due diligence, and post-merger integration across life sciences and advanced industries. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry from ETH Zurich.
