Dr Kelvin Chan is the CTO and CBO of Crafton Biotechnology, an mRNA biotechnology company. He has held senior leadership roles across mRNA development, biotech incubation, and venture investing. He was previously founding Director of Commercial Strategy & Business Development at Kudo Biotechnology, and served in business development and operating roles across portfolio companies within CBC Group and Tavistock. Kelvin was formerly a cross-border venture investor at EDBI, the strategic investment arm of the Singapore Economic Development Board, where he additionally supported value creation, strategic partnerships, and served as board observer for its life sciences and healthcare portfolio companies.

Kelvin trained as a drug discovery scientist, and earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Scripps Research, and published in top journals with 3,900+ citations, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship developing preclinical radiopharmaceuticals at the Singapore Bioimaging Consortium. He graduated with First Class Honors from the University of Cambridge and is a recipient of Singapore’s National Science Scholarship from A*STAR.
