Lara Ionescu Silverman PhD is founder and Principal Consultant at LIS BioConsulting, which provides technical consulting services to early stage cell and gene therapy companies since 2021. Dr Silverman’s focus is helping companies define and execute science-driven, cost-effective activities that lead to early stage clinical testing in order to bring more novel treatments to patients in need. She has expertise in a range of cell types (primary cells, iPSCs, blood-derived, allo vs auto, etc) and modalities (cell therapy, gene-modified cell therapy, tissue engineering, etc). Previously, Dr. Silverman spent 10 years as the Head Scientist at an allogeneic cell therapy company. She received a PhD from University of Pennsylvania in Bioengineering and a BSE from Princeton University in Chemical Engineering.
