Dr. Long-Cheng Li is the Co-Founder, President, and CEO of Ractigen Therapeutics, which he established in 2017. With 13 years of clinical experience as a physician and 20 years in basic research, Dr. Li is globally recognized for his groundbreaking discovery of RNA-mediated gene activation (RNAa), a pioneer technology that has successfully advanced into clinical trials. Prior to founding Ractigen, he served as an Associate Professor in Residence at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) until 2015, and as a Specially Appointed Professor at the Peking Union Medical College Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences until 2017. Dr. Li has authored or co-authored over 80 publications, garnering more than 14,000 citations. His research has been supported by numerous grants from both governmental and non-governmental organizations, including the prestigious NIH Director’s Transformative R01 (T-R01) Award in 2009. He is a frequently invited speaker at national and international conferences, universities, and pharmaceutical companies worldwide.
