Dr. Miquel Vila-Perelló is a scientist, entrepreneur, and the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of SpliceBio. Miquel earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Barcelona and carried out postdoctoral studies at The Rockefeller University in New York. Miquel's expertise in intein-based applications for protein chemistry led him to co-found ProteoDesign in 2013, later evolving into the groundbreaking gene therapy company, SpliceBio, where he has served as CEO since its inception. Under his leadership, SpliceBio received notable accolades, including the Series A of the Year at the 2022 European Lifestars Awards and the 2023 CataloniaBio &Health Tech BioExit Award.
