Uma Lakshmipathy leads Translational Services at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she advances discovery-to-clinic readiness by driving process optimization, analytical characterization, and compliant manufacturing strategies for cell therapy. With over 25 years of experience spanning cell biology, stem cells, translational research, and cell therapy development, she has translated scientific innovation into impactful products and services. Uma is the author of multiple scientific publications and serves as an advisor to academic institutions, biopharmaceutical companies, and nonprofit organizations. Earlier, as a junior faculty member at the University of Minnesota Stem Cel Institute, she developed non-viral gene transfer methods for ex vivo gene repair.  She earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics, completed postdoctoral training at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
